    CommercialPropertyKiln provides free, plain-English guidance on business rates, MEES, commercial leases, dilapidations, tax and VAT, capital allowances, SIPPs, planning and compliance for UK commercial property landlords and investors.

    This site does not provide legal advice, tax advice, regulated financial advice or professional advice of any kind. The information is general guidance to help you understand your options. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified solicitor, accountant, surveyor or tax adviser tailored to your situation.

    5. Interactive tools and calculators

    Our tools and calculators provide estimates and general guidance only. They are not substitutes for professional advice.

    • Figures are based on published rates at the time of creation and may become outdated. Always verify against the primary source
    • No data you enter into our tools is transmitted to our servers. All calculations run in your browser and any inputs stay on your device

    6. Sponsorship

    CommercialPropertyKiln is funded by category-relevant sponsorship from companies that serve UK commercial property landlords.

    • Sponsor branding is clearly distinguishable from editorial content
    • Sponsors do not influence the content of our guides. Editorial and sponsorship are kept separate
    • We hold no personal data, so there is none to share with sponsors
    • We do not take referral fees, affiliate commissions or pay-per-lead

    To the fullest extent permitted by law:
